WILD QUEENS I EXPEDITION

19–20 September 2026 | Women Only | Members Only | 4x4s Only

The Sisterhood Begins Here.

For as long as Alpha has existed, one question has followed it everywhere: "Why is this men only? We want this too."

You were right to ask.

This is the answer.

Wild Queens isn't Alpha with a different name on the poster. It's its own fire, lit by women who drive their own 4x4s, set up their own camp, and want a space that's genuinely theirs — no caretaking, no managing everyone else's needs, no performing for anyone. Just queens, under an African sky, doing something most people never expect them to do alone.

This is Wild Queens I. The first fire. The one every future edition will be measured against.

WHERE: A PROPER WILDERNESS

We're not doing a "safe" version of wild. We're doing wild, done right.

The venue of Wild Queens I sits deep in Laikipia  — at Kenya's most closely guarded private conservancy — tucked among acacia trees beside a marsh that draws wildlife year-round. It's exclusive-use, which means for one weekend, the entire marsh-facing site belongs only to us. No other campers. No sharing the fire.

It's shaded, it's genuinely wild, and it sits inside one of the most secure wildlife sanctuaries in the country — which means your family gets to stop worrying while you get to actually disappear into the bush.

THE QUEENS' CODE

BYOG – Bring Your Own Gear. Tent, chair, cooler — this is your camp, you build it.

BYOF – Bring Your Own Food. Self-catering, self-sufficient, self-proud.

Sisterhood First – What's said around the fire stays around the fire.

No Phones After Dark – Be present. Not performing.

Leave No Trace – Pack it in, pack it out. The wild doesn't owe us a mess.

Real Talk Only – No performing for anyone. Not your family, not your feed, not each other.

ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS

🚨 WOMEN ONLY – No exceptions. This is your fire.

🚨 MARA NOMADS MEMBERS ONLY – Not a member? Join first at www.maranomads.com

🚨 4x4s ONLY – Proper off-road capability with low range — no AWD crossovers.

🚨 SELF-CATERING – You bring your food, your drinks, your gear. We bring the fire, the rangers, and the wild.

TRIP DETAILS

📅 Dates: Saturday 19 – Sunday 20 September 2026

Duration: 2 Days, 1 Night

📍 Destination: A private conservancy in Laikipia

🚙 Vehicle: 4x4 only, low-range capable

Accommodation: Exclusive-use bush camping — pit toilets, water bowser, and firewood provided on site

🛡 Security: Armed conservancy ranger(s) on watch throughout — grunt work and wildlife-watch only; you handle your own camp

🔥 Vibe: Sisterhood. Wild. Unfiltered.

WHY LAIKIPIA PRIVATE CONSERVANCY

  • Genuinely wild – marsh-side, acacia-shaded, wildlife passing through year-round. Not a manicured campsite.
  • Genuinely secure – inside Ol Pejeta, one of Kenya's most protected conservancies, with armed rangers on site for the full stay.
  • Close enough – roughly 220km from Nairobi. Far enough to feel like an escape, close enough that this weekend won't eat your whole month.
  • Exclusive-use – the entire site is ours alone for the stay. No other campers, no sharing the marsh view.

EXPEDITION HIGHLIGHTS

🔥 Sisterhood Campfire Sessions – Real conversation, no performing.

🚗 Convoy Off-Road Drive – You drive. You navigate. You arrive.

🍖 Self-Catered Camp Feast – Your food, your fire, your table.

🌅 Marsh-Side Wildlife Watching – Wildlife passes through, day and night.

🛡 Guarded Wilderness – Armed rangers providing security, so the wild stays wild without the worry.

🤝 Founding Sisterhood – Every future Wild Queens edition traces back to this one.

FAQs

1) Ladies only (No exceptions) 2) Mara Nomads members only (Not a member? Join first: www.maranomads.com) 3) 4x4 vehicle owners (Proper off-road capability with low range required)

No. * This is a ladies-only space. ADULTS only. We have couples trips (Hearts & Horizons, family expeditions) and men-only trips (Alpha). This isn't one of them. Wild Queens I is sacred sisterhood territory. * Women-only means adults only. We have family-friendly trips throughout the year. Wild Queens I isn't one of them. * We're in predator country. Your dog would be in danger, and could attract dangerous wildlife to camp. We also do allow pets on our trips due to many reasons.

You need to become a member first. Contact us at +254 794 897 226 to join the community, THEN register for Wild Queens I.

Not at all. Mara Nomads always have new Nomads who become instant sisters. Sisterhood doesn't discriminate based on tenure—just authenticity.

Q: Where do we meet? Meeting point: Supreme Court, Taifa Road, Nairobi CBD - 📍 Click here for location Q: What time do we meet? A: 4:30 AM SHARP. We depart at 5:00 AM—NO DELAYS. Q: What if I'm late? A: You'll be left behind. We're not waiting. You can try to catch up on your own, but you'll miss the convoy briefing, and navigating Laikipia is risky. Q: How far is the drive? A: Approximately 440km total (Nairobi to Laikipia and back). Includes roughly 60km of off-road driving (30km to campsite, 30km back).

A: Minimal. Pit toilets NO showers Cleaning water available NO electricity (bring portable chargers/power banks) NO cell signal (likely) This is RAW adventure, not a luxury lodge.

A: Self-catering. YOU bring ALL your own food and drinks. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks—everything.

A: Daytime: Lightweight, breathable clothing, hat, sunglasses Nighttime: Warm hoodie, warm pants, thick socks (Laikipia gets COLD) Footwear: Closed shoes/boots (for walking around camp at night—snakes, scorpions, insects exist) Rain gear: Waterproof jacket, gumboots (forecast shows possible rain)

Off-road adventure (60km of challenging terrain) Game drives Sisterhood talk sessions (finance, mental health, resilience, relationships) Campfire storytelling (until midnight or later) Bush skills workshop (recovery techniques) Sunrise viewing (early morning) Freestyle bonding, banter, and brotherhood

Wild Queens I is a women-only, members-only wilderness expedition. It's 2 days and 1 night of off-roading, sisterhood, campfire conversations, self-catered meals, and real, unfiltered connection with fellow Nomad women — in a bush camp inside one of Kenya's most closely guarded conservancies.

Because it's not a wellness retreat with a nice view. It's genuine wilderness — driven, camped, and lived in by women who bring their own 4x4s and build their own camp. "Wild" is the terrain. "Queens" is who's running it.
