Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
Drive north passing Mt. Kenya and descending into the arid northern scrublands. Afternoon game drive along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River.

Day 2: Exploring the Samburu Special Five
Full day exploring Samburu and Buffalo Springs reserves. Look for leopards resting in riverine acacia trees and herds of elephants bathing in the river.

Day 3: Samburu to Laikipia Plateau / Ol Pejeta
Morning drive south towards the high plateau of Laikipia. Check into camp and head out on an afternoon game drive in the black rhino sanctuary.
