Alpha I — Chyulu Hills.

Cold. Rainy. Zero breakdowns. Grown men laughing until their ribs hurt. Conversations that went past midnight because nobody wanted to leave. The rain came down, but the campfire — and the brotherhood — survived.

Alpha II — Isiolo.

Warmer. Wilder. Predator country. 40 vehicles. 50+ men. Deeper terrain, deeper conversations. Another legendary bonfire. More nyama choma. More stories that will never leave that campsite.

Alpha III — Kajiado.

The brotherhood returned to the wild. Men sessions inside Ewaso Ngiro River. More men. More fire. More laughter. Another chapter written inside Ewaso Ngiro River waters, far from the distractions of everyday life.

Now comes Alpha IV.

And this time, we're taking three days.

ALPHA IV: INTO THE MERU WILDERNESS

There's something about leaving Nairobi behind, driving deep into the wilderness, switching off the noise, and spending a weekend with men who understand why you needed to get away in the first place.

This November, the brotherhood heads to Meru, one of Kenya's great wilderness landscapes.

Wild country. Beautiful landscapes. Wildlife. Dusty tracks. Long evenings around the fire.

3 days to drive, explore, cook, laugh, tell stories, and occasionally discuss things that matter.

No suits. No titles. No pretending to have everything figured out.

Just men being men.

Some will come for the driving. Others for the nyama choma, the bonfire, or the wildlife. Some simply need a break from the noise of everyday life.

Most will leave with more than they came for.

This isn't a luxury safari. It isn't a corporate retreat.

It's Alpha.

And if there's one thing we've learnt from the previous 3 expeditions, it's that you don't need much to have an unforgettable weekend.

A good fire. Good food. Good company.

And enough time to enjoy all three.

The Alpha bonfire has become something of a tradition. The bigger the fire, the longer the stories. Some conversations are hilarious. Others are surprisingly serious.

Nobody checks the time.

THE GREAT ALPHA NYAMA CHOMA

Bring your meat. Bring your grill. Bring your appetite.

Whole goats, steaks, ribs, sausages — whatever your heart and cooler box can accommodate.

The only competition is who makes the best nyama choma. And who eats the most.

The conversations men don't always get to have.

We'll explore its diverse landscapes, rivers, open plains and bush country.

Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed. That's part of the adventure.

THE ALPHA CODE

BYOB — Bring Your Own Beverage. Your favourite drinks, responsibly enjoyed. No drinking and driving.

BYOG — Bring Your Own Grill. Gas or charcoal, subject to park fire regulations. You're responsible for your own cooking setup.

BYON — Bring Your Own Nyama. Bring enough meat for yourself. Sharing is encouraged. 😂

WHAT YOUR KES 9,000 COVERS

• KWS park entry fees for one eligible Kenyan/East African citizen adult

• KWS vehicle entry fees for one standard 4×4 with fewer than six seats

• Two nights of public campsite fees

• Expedition planning, coordination and logistics

• Organised group activities and bonfire arrangements, subject to park regulations

Please note: The standard fee assumes one eligible adult and one qualifying vehicle. Additional passengers, different residency categories and larger vehicles may require adjusted fees.

ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS

MEN ONLY. Alpha is our dedicated men's expedition. No spouses, girlfriends or children.

MARA NOMADS MEMBERS ONLY. Participants must be registered members of the Mara Nomads community.

4×4 VEHICLES ONLY. A proper four-wheel-drive vehicle with functional low range is mandatory. AWD crossovers are not eligible.

SELF-CATERING. Bring your own food, drinks, water, cooking equipment, tent, sleeping gear and personal supplies.

VEHICLE READINESS. Your vehicle must be mechanically sound and adequately equipped for remote travel.

Let's get something straight.

This is a self-drive, self-catering wilderness expedition.

We are not running a hotel.

There will be no buffet waiting when you arrive. No waiter to bring you breakfast. No housekeeping to clean your tent.

Hungry? Cook something.

Thirsty? You should have packed water.

Want nyama choma? Bring nyama.

Forgot your camping chair? Your legs are about to become very useful. 😂

We organise the expedition, coordinate the convoy, facilitate the group experience and bring the brotherhood together.

You bring your vehicle, equipment, supplies, sense of humour and willingness to participate.

Prepare properly. Read all the expedition information. Ask questions before departure.

Come prepared for the wilderness, not the comforts of home.
